In Rio de Janeiro, there is one of the most beautiful libraries in the world : the Real Gabinete Português de Leitura. Built from 1880 to 1887 by architect Rafael da Silva e Castro, this amazing library gathers more than 350 000 Portuguese works on endless bookshelves.

Il finto incontro di MMA tra uomo e una donna: la campagna che ha indignato e fatto riflettere tutto il Brasile

In Brasile ogni 90 minuti 1 donna è vittima di abusi da parte di uomo. Per portare l’attenzione su questo annoso problema l’associazione di Rio de Janeiro Disque Denuncia, in collaborazione con Agência3, ha costruito una finta notizia riguardante il primo incontro di MMA che vede sfidarsi un uomo e una donna.
La notizia ha fatto in poco tempo il giro del Brasile anche perché supportata da associazioni sportive che hanno reso ancora più credibile la storia. Gli sfidanti Emerson Falcão e Juliana Velasquez hanno rilasciato interviste e sono stati ripresi durante l’allenamento nei giorni precedenti l’incontro.
Nel frattempo alcuni insorgono, arrivano mail di denuncia, insulti e indignazione dilagante tramite i social network, anche tra i colleghi di MMA, fino ai servizi televisivi e durante i telegiornali.
L’incontro è ormai imminente, le telecamere sono puntate sui due lottatori, l’evento è in live streaming su YouTube, ma proprio nel momento topico alcune persone espongono uno striscione: "questa lotta non avverrà qui, ma sta avvenendo ora in un’altra casa: denunica la violenza domestica".
L’arbitro pone fine all’incontro e i due lottatori si abbracciano. L’intero paese applaude e riflette su quanto appena visto.
